Milton is the best team in the 8th Grade in the state of Georgia. Last year’s GMSAA Champions (Class 6) started the season rolling and they never looked back. In the championship game they were at their best when they beat Hillgrove. Now they return with he same crew and Jack Rhodes has to be in the discussion for the Turman Award. Even though Mill Creek didn’t look their best in the jamboree game against Peachtree Ridge they are still the champions until someone stops them. That means a coach has to out scheme Coach Pat is widely regarded as the best youth coach in the business right now. Tucker Middle has been in the championship game for Dekalb County for the past three years. Even though they lost a lot of talent Coach Walker will have them in the mix. Woodward Academy is loaded with talent including the very versatile Dawson Ellington. Cartersville has one of the best Quarterbacks in the country with Tee Webb who already has an offer from the University of Louisville. At this point it’s looking like Cartersville is about to become Quarterback High as they had Brooks Barden, then Trevor Lawrence and when his time is done Webb will step into the leading man role. That’s rare to have two all state quarterbacks back to back with a possible third one on the way.
