Turman Award Watch: Andrew Van Wie

body armorLast years 7th Grade B2C Offensive Player of the Year Andrew Van Wie (2021) is ready to see just how far he can take his team.  The #2 ranked QB in the state has a lot of talent.  Yes he has the arm strength to make the throws you need him to make but most importantly he is accurate with the ball and he doesn’t turn the ball over.  When Andrew is out on the field the chains move and his offense scores touchdowns and that is one of the true marks for a QB as the great Bret Farve would say.  In last weeks Jamboree game against Greater Atlanta Christian Andrew was 12-18, 218 yards and 5 TDs.  I would say that the offensive leader of Wesleyan the #11 ranked B2C Prime MS Rankings is ready to play ball.

The Turman Award recognizes the best player in youth football.  The award was named after DeAntre Turman who passed away in 2013 after on on field collision.  The 2015 Turman Award winner was Harrison Bailey who is the #1 ranked freshman in the country.  Highlights of DeAntre Turman are below.
