7.   Atlanta Colts – NWGYFL

10. Fairburn Flames – MAYFL

Honorable Mention: Fayette County Blue Devils (SCFL), Gresham Park Rattlers (GXYFL), Roswell Hornets (GMSAA), Central Dekalb Blue (SCFL), Hillgrove Hawks (GMSAA), Hapeville Hornets (YFA), North Paulding Wolfpack (GMSAA), Buford Wolves NN (GFL), Johns Creek Gladiators (GMSAA)

The SCFL is exactly what we thought it was going to be as Central Dekalb wins a big game. Over the years Coach Shelley teams have had a hard time winning the big game but this win could turn everything around as they look to position themselves for the SCFL Playoffs. North Gwinnett finally gets over the hurdle and sleighs the dragon as they beat the Dacula Falcons. For their accomplishments over the past couple of years Dacula should be celebrated, now they have to look forward to next season as they try to regroup during the offseason. North Gwinnett now advances to the GFL Semifinals and they will look to play a Buford NN team that will be able to give them fits as their QB can make plays. Johns Creek has the best LB at 12U, he is now in the second season and it will be interesting to see if he can lead his team to the GMSAA Championship game as Roswell, Rome and McEachern are all on the same side of the bracket for the GMSAA Playoffs. How about the Fairburn Flames as they have a big win against the Welcome All Blue team. As we always say youth football is better when the Fairburn Flames are apart of the top echelon of teams because of their great parents support. Here is a question for everyone, if Fairburn wins the MAYFL, do you think the Frank Ski Youth Bowl committee will take them. If the Atlanta Vikings who haven’t had the best schedule continue to fall in the eyes of the voters as their strength of schedule is hurting them. Will Welcome All be able to beat North Henry, Central Dekalb or Fayette as their start to get their players back from middle school football? If Jonesboro and Panhandle put on a good enough show will they be able to get the attention of the Frank Ski Youth Bowl committee or could the Atlanta Colts find a way to put up enough big points in the next couple of weeks to get their nod. Can’t forget the the North Gwinnett Bulldogs as that team has one of the best following in youth football we have seen this year. Gresham has a chance if they do what they are supposed to do then it should be no reason that won’t be a part of the conversation or how about a team like Rome, even though it would be the first time a team from the GMSAA would be considered it wouldn’t be a bad pick at all. Either was I guess I was just thinking out loud as all these teams still have to win their championship and you just have no idea what is going to happen when its a win or go home situation.
