The 14U age group has been the best it has been in a very long time. It is good to see this age group playing at a high level. Youth football is a better place when the older boys are having success. Grayson has two big wins over ranked teams and you have to move them to the top as they continue to prove that they are a TEAM that will probably be in the championship game of the GFL. This week will mark the week of some of the top talent on the same field as Hiram and Starrs Mill go head to head. Gunnor Faulk is the best QB in the state if not the southeast. Then Starrs Mills has Rico Frye, the sky is the limit for his potential. One thing we know about Frye is that when the lights are on he is at his best. Next week Parkview and Duluth will go at it as the GFL 14U Playoffs kickoff. They both have two players that will have a good chance to be in the Finalist for the Turman Award as Realus “Boo Man” George from Duluth and Justin Mascole from Parkview will both look to lead their team to a victory as both will no doubt be trying to outdo the other and help their team get out of the game with a win.
