Charl “CJ” Streicher
Forsyth Paladins
In the mold of Ray Lewis, Patrick Willis, Brian Ulacher and all the other linebackers that are out there playing at a high level CJ fits right in that mold. Great linebacker play is so beautiful to watch. He recognizes formations, he doesn’t waste a step. His pad level is low, he meets the ball carrier with a thud and he is a tackling machine. Probably the most important thing is when his defense back is against the wall, CJ comes up with the big play. If you are not a purist of the game. A stop on 3rd and 2 or 4th and 1 might not excite you but as a football purist you are jumping up and down going crazy! We could go on and on about CJ big plays whether it was during league play in the NMFL or against some of the best competition in the state in the B2C Championship Series. The truth is the kid was the key part of the Paladins historic run to a championship.
