8th Grade Team North Georgia wins BIG at the FBU Nationals

SAN ANTONIO, TX — What happens when you take the best offensive and defensive 8th graders from Georgia, and put them all on one team?  An FBU (Football University) National Championship happens.

Bracket play began on December 1, 2012 in Buford, Georgia for this squad.  Born to Compete was there to see them play against a tough GMSAA (Georgia Middle School Athletic Association) team to advance to play Team Kentucky.  This team was clicking on all cylinders then, and we knew that they would give any team that they faced a hard time.  Team Kentucky was no match for Team North Georgia’s speed on December 9, 2012, and the team would advance to the Final Four in San Antonio, TX.

In San Antonio, Team Massachusetts put up a great fight, but the team from Georgia dominated their opponent, just like they have been doing during bracket play.  A Colorado team was the only thing in their way of a National Championship.

The Georgia boys turned on the jets from the start.  With huge play from Georgia’s offense and defense, Team Georgia defeated Team Colorade 32-8!
