Sandtown and Jonesboro gave us a classic one. It was god to see some quality football played at such a young age group. Both teams stepped up to the challenge as they played in front of a large crowd for an 8U game at Langston Hughes High. Now talking football, Jonesboro showed why they are considered the best team out there behind Sandtown. On the other hand Sandtown showed that they could take a punch and respond like champions as they scored 19 points in the 4th Quarter to win the game 32-8. Atlanta Vikings led by Coach P and Coach Tommy are starting to get the ball rolling, as we all know they get better as the season goes on. By the time the B2C Championship Series is here they will be in top form. The 8U competition is starting to look like a better division than most people think. With Jonesboro, Atlanta Vikings, Dacula and Welcome All playing well, it is very possible that by the time the B2C Championship rolls around one of these teams could challenge the Sandtown Vikings. Its a long season and to stay on the top is very difficult. This will be one of the better story lines to follow as Coach B and his Vikings continue to strive for perfection. There is a big matchup in the SCFL that is going under the radar and that is North Henry vs Welcome All. North Henry is all speed and Welcome All plays with power, something is going to have to give and we will find that answer outon Saturday.
