B2C Championship Series is November 25-27. It is a free tournament to determine the state champions for the state of Georgia. Past winners include Duluth, Crawford Long (South Atlanta), Mill Creek, Buford
Honorable Mention: Carrollton, Flat Rock, Cedar Grove, King, Blackmon Rd, Blessed Trinity, Sutton, Paulding Co, Tifton,, Woodland, Chapel Hill, Hampton
The 8th Grade division got turned upside down as multiple top ranked teams lost. Chapel Hill was able to knock off highly ranked Tucker, Young beat John Lewis, Long beat Bunche. Out of all the teams Long is the most dangerous, their coach is the only coach in the B2C top 25 that has won the B2C Championship Series and he knows how to win. Coach Simpson has his team playing the right way and they might be one game away from getting a birth into the B2C Championship Series but they have to go through a very good Young Middle School team. Milton has a rematch with McEachern which will be a competitive game. The first time these two teams played everything that could have went wrong for McEachern went wrong. North Cobb will play Carrollton, the Trojans are rolling right now and are dangerous to win it all in the GMSAA and probably get the automatic birth to the B2C, North Cobb might have the best player in the state with Christion Peacock, he has been playing at an unreal level lately and his teammates have responded. That’s going to be a great game. Buford had a close game with North Gwinnett early in the season. Buford historically gets better as the season goes on, this will be no different as Buford is rolling right now. Grayson and Parkview will go to battle, last time the game got away from Parkview as they weren’t able to stop the run and almost sent the entire Grayson backfield to the Hall of Fame. Parkview looks a lot better than they have been during the season and B2C Player of the Year Candidate Jake Godfree has been playing at a very high level all season. Stephenson and Chapel Hill will face off in the DeKalb County Championship. Stephenson running game is almost unstoppable, Chapel Hill defense was able to play well against Tucker last week and shut them out. Chapel Hill will have to be balanced to move the ball against Stephenson. All eyes are on Eddie White versus North Clayton as the winner will be the first one to get the nod into the B2C Championship Series. Both teams have been playing outstanding football. Both teams are ranked in the top 5, the entire state will be watching to see what happens in this game.
