B2C Championship Series Day 1 Recap
Every year the B2C Championship Series produces at least one great game on the first day. That was the case with the Central Dekalb Jaguars Blue vs GA Thoroughbreds in the 11U Division. The Jaguars hadn’t been ranked all year long as this team was having a very difficult year but at the end of their leagues season they were able to turn it around and make the championship game of the SCFL. The Thoroughbreds made it as high as being ranked #1 in the state heading into the GXYFL championship game but in that game they played their rival and ended up losing to Gresham Park. Two teams that were looking to prove that they belonged on the big stage and both teams gave it everything they had. GA Thoroughbreds jumped out to an early lead but a late touchdown by the Jaguars helped send the game into overtime. In the second overtime #57 from the Jaguars stood up big with two huge stops down near the goaline. When the Jaguars got the ball back they gave it to #1 and he hit the hole like a man determined to score. Carrying the Thoroughbreds on his back he was able to cross the goaline and help his team advance into the next round of the B2C Championship Series.
