Peachtree Ridge Chad Mascoe and DeNylon Morrissette made some huge plays and cemented themselves as players that will be high on the list when recruiting starts for them.  Buford showed why they have a chance to win the GFL this year and it might be no question as they are probably the most complete team in the state outside of the top 6 teams.  Coach Ken Burge might be the early leader for Coach of the Year.  Tucker and Bethune looks like they are seriously headed on a collision course in the Dekalb Middle School league as both teams are literally running through their opponents, don’t be shocked if Stephenson spoils the party with an upset in the playoffs.  They can get after it on defense.  KIPP Metro and KIPP Vision are possibly in the same boat as they have both out scored their opponents by more than 30 points a week in the APS.  McEachern is looking just that good as Harrison is looking better and better.  Harrison might have an outside chance to make it to the B2C Championship Series if some things work out in their favor as they are playing at a very high level right now.  Jonesboro starts their journey to the Clay CO Middle school championship as their playoffs are about to start and they have some great competition with Morrow and North Clayton.  Dutchtown seems like a sure bet to win their championship. Lakeside will have to worry about defending champs Vickery Creek in their league and Calhoun will have to deal with Cartersville as they are focused to win another championship.  All roads lead to the top 4 teams selected by the panel for the B2C Championship Series.  If it started today it would be McEachern (GMSAA), Brookwood (GFL), Tucker (Dekalb) and KIPP Metro (APS).  Whoever comes out of that battle will have earned the State Championship without any question.
