With so much talent in the Class of 2026 this might be the most competitive season ever at this age group.  Duluth Wildcats are the defending state champions, the #1 team in the state and one of the best teams in the country.  They have arguably the most talented group of players since Grayson Rams 2015 8th Grade team (Class 2019).  Tyler Atkinson (Edge) and Daverin Geralds (DE/TE) are special players.  With the addition of Jonathan Stafford (ATH) and multiple players from the Dream Team including Anthony Moon (LB) it will be interesting to see just how good they will be. Parkview Panthers return last year QB of the Year in Cayden Benson, he can impact that game with his arm and his legs.  The addition of B2C Prime 11 pick Zelus Hicks (ATH) and King Brown (CB/WR) will help make the Panthers a better team.  Recently Duluth and Parkview scrimmaged which ended in a 6-6 tie.  It was a competitive game and an intense atmosphere, both teams showed that they are ready for the season.  It is possible that these two teams could meet up in the GFL Championship with a B2C State Championship bid up for grabs.  Rome is the defending champion in the GMSAA, Coach Charles is considered one of the best coaches in the state. Nassir Jones the 6’4 lineman has power 5 written all over him, Jeremy Ragland (FB/LB) will set the tone as he embodies Rome football and that is physical football.  McEachern has a chance to knock off Rome as they have loaded up. JJ Campbell (RB) is the real deal, he has power to run inside and the speed to go 80 yards for a TD.  McEachern can possibly become the first team ever to make 2 B2C State Championship appearances.

Last time APS had football Crawford Long was special. They would go on to win the State Championship against Walton.  Coach Simpson is one of the best in the business and he will have his team ready to go. Buford has added a lot of talent. With B2C Prime 11 selection James Morrow (TE/DE) and former offensive player of the year Bryce Green (RB) they will have a chance to make a run in the GFL.  Rashaan Isaac on defense is a great addition for the Wolves. Eddie White has a chance to make the B2C State Championship coming out of Clayton County. Ryan Henson (QB) and Chad Fairchild (ATH) can flat out play football.  Coach Belton has had plenty of talented teams, this might be his most talented ever. Willie Williams Middle (Colquitt) has a monster playing football in Chance Sims. The athletic lineman is a problem for any team he faces. Stephenson starts out the season ranked #6 in the state, they will be led by B2C Prime 11 pick Cavalli Jackson. Stephenson has been in big games before and in the talent rich Dekalb County they will be in plenty this season.  Cedar Grove and Tucker are historically good and Salem will have player of the year nominee Jaleel Baugh at RB.  If Stephenson can deal with that gauntlet of a league they will have a chance to make it to the B2C Championship Series.  Carver Road and Dalton will lean on their two game changing defensive lineman. Semaj Fluellyn (Carver) and Sager Quinn (Dalton) will be asked to do a lot for their teams but both are up for the challenge. MacIntyre Park Middle has a QB that can move the chains. Camren Hill is a highlight waiting to happen.
