Frank Ski Youth Bowl/ B2C Championship Series will be November 25-27. It is a free tournament to determine the state champions for the state of Georgia.
Central Dekalb proved to be the top team in the state a couple of weeks ago with their big win over RDU. If RDU accepts the challenge to to play Central Dekalb again it will only help them as they are a very good team that needs to make a couple of adjustments to make their game more competitive with Central Dekalb. Fayette and William Walker had a classic when they played each other and since then both teams are playing at a high level and looking to make a run to the Youth Bowl. Jonesboro is the sleeper team as they have put together an undefeated season in their league. Recently had a big win over a very good North Atlanta team with one of the best Running Backs in the state. GFL have their semifinals this weekend with no clear leader. All of the top teams beat each other so this weekend should be very competitive as Lawrenceville plays Mountain View and Peachtree Ridge with player of the year nominee Aiden Opore takes on Buford, the team that shut them out during the regular season. Cartersville, Lassiter and Woodstock have all had great season. It will be interesting to see if they can win their division in the GMSAA and get an invite to the B2C/Youth Bowl. Walton as of right now look like the team to beat in the “A Division” in the GMSAA but they will have to go against a Carrollton team that has exceeded all expectations. It will be a great matchup between two very good QBs that will more than likely be invited to the B2C Awards Gala. McEachern on the other side of the bracket pulled off the upset against North Cobb. Can they use that momentum and ride it all the way to a GMSAA championship? The sleeper team out there right now that no one is talking about is the Atlanta Raiders. They have had some good wins and would could possibly find their way into the B2C/Youth Bowl if things workout in their favor.
