At 13 years old, Bryce Archie is more than your average 8th grader. He’s McEachern Middle School’s star quarterback. He’s thrown 10 touchdowns in three games so far this season.
“I had 5 throwing touchdowns for over 300 yards, 15 yards rushing against North Cobb,” The Class of 2022 quarterback said. “I had 3 touchdowns for 275 yards against Marietta.”
With stats like that, Archie says his goal is to win the State Championship three times in a row with his team. The 5’10, 145-pound quarterback won the State Title in his 6th grade and 7th grade year.
Indians Head Coach Dave Brooks has taken notice of Archie’s playing ability.
“He says I’m one of the best quarterbacks to come throw at McEachern,” Archie said. “That I can do everything on the field”
Although still young, Archie has his eyes on a few college programs.
“Florida State, Oregon, and Tennessee,” Archie said when asked about favorite colleges.
“Florida State, I like the warm weather. I like that they pass the ball and they use their quarterbacks a lot,” Archie said. “Oregon, I like the jerseys. I like the read options and that you can run most of the time. Tennessee, I would like to play in front of 108,000 people singing Rocky Top. I know several former players. It’s a quarterback school. They have produced great quarterbacks like Peyton Manning.”
