GA Yard Dogs move up to the top spot as they looked very good this past weekend in USSSA Better Up Classic. They ended up running the table as they played up in the 8U KP Division. Just as impressive were the Elite Gamers RWB Garner, they won the USSSA Longball NIT playing up an age group in the 8U KP Division. Eastside Wolfpack played very well as they were playing up against some very good competition in the Triple Crown Backyard Brawl

Foundation Bulldogs are looking scary good right now. They absolutely dominated the Triple Crown Backyard Bash. Their defense gave up an average of 0.8 points a game for the tournament. If they are able to keep playing at this high of a level, it won’t be any surprise to see them walk away with the World Series championship. Kennesaw caught everybody’s attention this past weekend as their only loss came to the Foundation Bulldogs. They are a team that continues to get better and better every week.

The Atlanta Prospects sent a message to every team out there in the 9U Division with their in the Triple Crown Backyard Brawl as they scored 58 runs in five games. Not to be out done Acworth Warriors Orange won the USSSA Elite 8, beating some very good teams. So I am guessing everyone is waiting to exactly what we are waiting to see. When are the Acworth Warriors and Atlanta Prospects going to go ahead and meet each other on the diamond.

How about those East Cobb Astros, they went down to the USSSA Elite 8 and came away with the title. When the new Power Rankings come out they have to be considered as on of the best teams in the state of GA in any age group. These parents and coaches stayed the course even when they were losing at the younger age groups. They believed in sound fundamental baseball and great parent support, now it is paying off in a big way. The Black Knights won the Triple Crown Backyard Brawl, again keep your eye out for this team as they consistently get better every week and they will be peaking at the right time.

Signature Park is starting to win the close games and that shows how a team is getting better. Homeplate Vandagriff showed some resolve this past weekend. Ealier in the USSSA Elite 8 tournament Central Florida handed them a whipping. Homeplate Vandagriff licked their wounds and when they met up again with Central Florida in the Championship they made sure they returned the favor.

Team Georgia Red picks and chooses which tournaments they play in and this past weekend they played in the USSSA Elite 8. They didn’t not disappoint as they consistently made the big plays all weekend long as they won the USSSA Elite 8

It seemed as if all the top teams were at the Triple Crown Backyard Brawl. As the semifinals showed just why youth baseball is so exciting. At the end of the day the East Cobb Astros claimed the championship and have now also moved up the number one spot

The heavy weights were out this past weekend at the USSSA Elite 8 and they all came to play. 6-4-3 DP Cougars bumped up to the #2 ranking in the state with a great weekend. First they were able to beat the Georgia Jackets in a competitive game and then they avenged an earlier loss from the tournament as they beat the Orlando Scorpions in the championship.
