BOSTON, MA — The Hockey Northeast league is making great strides in youth hockey. The league was formed for the 2011-2012 season and features USA Hockey National Bound registered teams playing at the Tier 1 Elite AAA level. Hockey Northeast was formed to strengthen player development and competition that is expected from its founding members.
This league has 10 youth programs:
- Connecticut Wolfpack
- Dual State Huskies
- Greater Boston Jr. Bruins
- Middlesex Braves
- Neponset Valley River Rats
- Northstar Selects
- Rhode Island Saints
- Valley Jr. Warriors
- Springfield Rifles
- CP Dynamo
Each programs are setting the standard high AAA youth hockey. In week 3 of competition, 7 teams were ranked in the top 25 on MyHockeyRankings.com, a great accomplishment for a new league.
Hockey Northeast has highly competitive divisions at each age level, Mite to Bantam Minor, with a 32 game regular season schedule as well as league playoffs. Bantam Major plays 16 game short season schedule as well as playoffs.
