NYACK, NY — “The Good Fight” New York Open Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Grappling Tournament was packed as Savion “The Savage” Maranon prepared to compete for the championship under Team Fiona. This team is very familiar with winning championships, and Savion would not fall short. His opponent was larger, but Savion had more heart. Savion won gold in a heavier weight division and Team Fiona would take home the silver medal in the overall team competition.
Earlier this month, Savion “The Savage” Maranon also took home a silver medal in the 2013 Pan Kids IBJFF Competition. He competed well during the entire competition, without getting a point scored on him.
