ORLANDO, FL — Playing with effort, energy, determination, and courage are a few requirements to become a Q6 All Star. The Q6 All Stars are an extension of the Q6 Foundation, founded by current Milwakee Bucks and former Boston Celtic Marquis Daniels. Marquis Daniels was a standout basketball player at Auburn and was drafted by the NBA in 2003.
The Q6 All Stars, founded in 2005, specifically recruits student-athletes and provide many avenues for them to continue their success on and off of the court. Their coaches and staff focus on the entire athlete, not just what they see on the court. A minimum of a 2.5 GPA is required in order to play.
Along with providing great educational opportunities, they also expose their players to the best colleges. Their rigorous tournament schedule allows many opportunities for maximum exposure. In 2012, the Q6 All Stars had key wins against AAU teams such as the Showtime Ballers, SEBL, DH Warriors, Devin Harris All-Stars, Columbus Knicks and Team United. The 17U squad were state runner ups.
