Welcome All Panthers aka Dream Team | 10U Division

The DreamTeam flexed their muscles in the B2C Championship Series yet again winning a 5th straight state championship. Building a winning foundation since 6U, Coach Shawn Moffett’s Welcome All Panthers are the most respected 10U in the country. Their 31-0 running clock victory over No. 2 North Henry in the B2C finals capped off an undefeated season winning over 20 games. “This is probably the most well balanced team I’ve coached,” said Coach Moffett. “There are so many different weapons that you can’t really focus and gameplan for one thing. If you focus on the run game, we’ll go pass. If you focus pass, we’ll go run.”  This was Welcome All 5th B2C Championship win in a row (6U-10U) and Coach Moffett’s 7th B2C State Championship.  His 8 B2C Championship Game appearances rank him #1 all time for head coaches in the B2C Era. On a team full of play-makers, Tyriq “Boogie” Green is the most prolific on offense. Facing top teams around the country in multiple years now, Boogie has carried WAP into the end-zone each game. “He’s phenomenal,” said Coach Moffett. “He can run and catch. He’s willing to run through tackles. His speed and agility sets him aside from most people,” Coach Moffett explained. “He may not be the fastest kid on the team, but his ability to stop and go is next level.” Green’s multiple touchdown performance earned B2C Player of the Game honors this past Saturday.

Jameson “Man Man” McCullough is a powerful leader on both sides of the ball for WAP. He’s an aggressive player with a high motor. “Man Man is the bruiser back. He had a great game in the B2C Championship,” said Coach Moffett. “He’s in great shape; he’s a physical runner that’ll move up and down the field. He has the football IQ of a ninth grader in high school.”

Quarterback Julian “Ju Ju” Lewis has taken the WAP offense to another level in 2018. His arm strength and ability to lead the offense is paying off for the high-scoring Panthers. His downfield passing attack keeps opposing defenses off balanced. “We’re more effective going to the spread. We’re more explosive on offense this season,” explained Coach Moffett. “His football IQ at quarterback allows us to do a little more at this age group. He’s able to communicate different blocking schemes and concepts in the huddle to the rest of the players.”

“Anthony Davis is my most physical linebacker,” said Coach Moffett. “He’s had a great season. He’s part of the reason we call it concussion alley. If you run through our middle we’re going to give you a shot to remember.”

Adam Carter, Ryan Mosley, and Aaron “AJ” McNeil Jr are electric skill players for the DreamTeam. All three have great hands and the ability to make defenders miss in space. Offensive guard Jareq Johnson leads the way upfront. “He’s the hardest working man in show business. First quarter or fourth quarter, he’s still going hard,” said Coach Moffett. “Pancake blocks every single game.” Quite frankly, WAP is a juggernaut on offense and defense. WAP will defend their No. 1 ranking at the Battle Youth National Championship tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 16th. The DreamTeam won the Battle Youth National Championship tournament last season at 9U.
