Justin Mascoll – Parkview Panthers (8th Grade)
He is an imposing figure. Stands at 6″3 and well over 220 lbs, the big LB is a beast. Helped lead his team to the semifinals of the GFL 8th Grade Division. Every game he came to play making Parkview defense one of the best in the state. Against the run he was deadly. Against the pass he was almost like Brian Urlacher sitting in the zone. He might have had more interceptions than sacks as he was always around the ball.
JaJuan White – Atlanta Vikings (12U Division)
Physical describes the leader of the Atlanta Vikings defense. He lead the #1 linebacker core in the state all the way to the Frank Ski Bowl championship game. They didn’t allow a hundred yard rusher all year long and White was the main reason for that as he was able to take on the lead play or run sideline to sideline to make the tackle on speedy running backs.
Jaylen McCollough – Welcome All Panthers (12U Division)
Big linebacker that can run from sideline to sideline. Reads plays very well, knows how to fill a hole and take on the lead block. Very good open field tackler. Very similar to Elliot Berry from Creekside High School. Ended the season by leading his team to the Frank Ski Bowl and winning the championship and was named Gatorade Player of the Game due to his performance.
Darnell Jefferies – Shiloh Genrals (8th Grade)
Big athletic linebacker. Hits like a truck but most important thing he does is make tackles in space seem routine. Led his team the the GFL semifinals where they would end up losing to the eventual GFL champions (Grayson Rams).
Kameron Brown – North Gwinnett Bulldogs (12U Division)
Might have been the most impactful player at the 12U Division at linebacker. When you put the film on he pops out because all of the plays he makes. In big games he loves the spotlight because that is when he is at his best. Against the run he is solid, against the pass he always finds a way to get his hands on the ball. Lead his team to the GFL Championship.
