Damon Dennis – Central DeKalb Jaguars (12U Division)
One of the most explosive receivers this year in the state. Can go deep or take a short pass and turn it into a big play. Knows how to get the ball at its highest point, does well against man to man coverage as he knows how to use moves to deception in his route running and most importantly catches the ball with his hands.
Zion Hawkins – North Paulding Wolfpack (7th Grade)
No WR did more for his team. With his QB out for most of the season Zion put the Wolfpack on his back and showed up every week. Being the focus of every defense he played against Zion still was able to put up gaudy numbers. Great route runner, catches with hands but the thing about him that standout is that no matter what time of the game you always know Zion is going to make a play.
Taruway Bright – Hillgrove Hawks (6th Grade)
Big, long receiver with potential that reminds us at B2C of MJ Walker (North Clayton – 2010). With only one year of playing receiver under his belt as he was moved from the O-Line sky is the limit for him. He has one of the best QB’s in the country at his age group and that combination can prove to be deadly in the next couple of years if those two stay together.
