When talking about some of the best players in the state of Georgia, you must mention Cedartown’s Tae Harris. Harris one of the leaders of the Cedartown Bulldogs was once a Georgia Bulldogs commit. However, the current Bulldog will not be one in the future. Instead Harris will be a Tiger out of Clemson. The Clemson commit is excited to be a Tiger but his focus is on his senior season with his Cedartown Bulldogs teammates. Harris and his teammates are looking to have a big season this year and they are working hard to reach expectations that are set for them.
Harris says, “We have a great senior ‘25 class so the expectations is to win the state championship and we are going to do so.”
What do you expect from a player of Harris’s caliber? Very high expectations from the Clemson commit but that’s what you expect from one of your team leaders.
The off-season has already played a big role going into the 2024 season. For Harris by the work that is being put in each day is only setting him and his team up for successful things.
“Bigger, faster, stronger! I’ve accomplished all those things and I now weigh 200lbs. I’m stronger than ever and in the best shape of my life my man it’s such a blessing.” Harris says.
“I just want people to hear my name and say he’s the best that ever done it , that’s the example for Db’s hardworking young man.”
Harris is certainly one of the best to do it for the Bulldogs of Cedartown and there have been plenty of greats to come out of there. However, Harris knows that the jobs not finished and he wants to set the standard even higher by winning a state title.
When talking about his future with the Clemson Tigers, I asked Harris what his early goals were when he gets to Clemson.
Harris simply says, “I’m ready to start as a freshman when I learn the system.”
Watch out for Harris this season as he anchors the defense for Cedartown and will be looking to help lead his team to the final game of the season.
