Every single off-season is a time to build for the upcoming season. Now as most teams head into region play, it’s pretty clear to spectators that all of the off-season work is in form now.
“My offseason was good just wanted to improve my speed I ran a 4.68 as a freshman was working to get it down to a 4.4, 4.5 range in the offseason I got to build a family with my team got to get that trust we been needing to be a good football team and improving on reading the defense knowing what their running to perfect my route.” Patterson says.
Patterson’s off-season was strong and not only was Patterson working on the physical aspect of the game but the mental side of it as well. Now, that’s what makes a next level student-athlete.
“My team is starting region play this week I expect us to go 1-0 every week I expect myself to play highly every game because I feel like I can be one of the best wideouts in my class.” Patterson stated.
Region time is an exciting time because all the teams get down to business to try and win region championships and to lock a good spot in the playoffs.
“I enjoy the game of football because u can just play at your own pace and it’s a special game. I love the excitement, work, and competition.”
Having big goals to reach help you enjoy the game and it’s important to in order to remain successful.
“My goals this season as an individual are to continue improving to the best of my abilities and help my team get to state, and in that process get recruited heavily and possibly get my first offer.”
