Many student-athletes have to “climb” the ladder in order to be able to showcase what they are about. As for Aiden McPherson it’s been a grind of tons of hard work, and he’s gotten that chance to showcase what he’s about. Friday night against Toombs County, McPherson stepped in and made play after play and made it difficult for the defense to contain him.

Taking to McPherson before he said he had put in tons of off-season work and that he’s really improved on many things and it’s clearly being shown under the lights on Friday nights.

“My offseason has been a grind and a lot of hard work. Things that I have improved on is my footwork and reading the field and understanding coverages.” Says McPherson.

“I expect this season out of me and my team is win out region and dominate the playoffs and work hard enough to win state.”

McPherson possesses a lot of leadership on top of a strong work ethic. He’s scrappy and that’s what coaches like about him. He won’t go down in a battle easy, he’s going to play his heart out.

“What I enjoy the most about playing football is have the ball in my hands on every play and playing that play maker roll and being me. Also at the Quarter back position I love being that leader on the team.” McPherson says.

“Love being that leader on the team” is a huge and positive sign of a QB looking to be “the guy” and McPherson shows all of those signs.

“The goals of mine are just to keep getting better and better each day and I love the grind of getting better. For the spring I just want to show that hard work does pay off and to just keep your head down and work.”

McPherson is a one of a kind student-athlete and one thing is for certain is he’s going to make plays and make an impact not only on the team during games but his teammates on and off the gridiron
