When talking about areas of one’s game that has improved, it’s Kingston Brown. A hard working student-athlete who continues to get better is making big strides this off-season.

“This offseason, I’ve been focused on improving my fundamentals – things like footwork/speed, using my hands more, and my get-off. I’ve also been putting in extra time in the weight room, working to get stronger and more explosive.
Honestly, I’m just excited to be getting on the field with my new High School team this fall, learning from all my teammates and coaches. and putting all of our hard work into action.” Says Brown.

“For myself, continuous improvement – building on the progress I’ve made and identifying areas where I can grow even stronger.
Ultimately, to put forth our absolute best effort and bring home a state championship.”

All of the hard work and improvement of Brown, it’ll certainly pay off and one thing about hard work is you have to find the positive in the grind. The journey is the important part, enjoy the journey and it’ll make the end result that much sweeter.

“For me, it’s the adrenaline rush of getting to be aggressive, sacking the QB, and shutting down a play.
Also, just the opportunity to contribute to the team!” Says Brown.

A lot of student-athletes have other “hobbies” they like to do outside of their respective sport. This can be a very beneficial thing for the player as they have to put so much focus in their sport.

“I enjoy boxing and wrestling – it’s a great way for me to stay active and challenge myself physically.”

Those things translate to the next sport. Boxing is a great cardio and has many more benefits as well as wrestling.

“I love watching film and learning more about the game, and my position.
Also, just keeping a positive attitude and always listening to learn more. Those are some of the strengths I believe make me a great athlete.” Brown said.

Brown is an outstanding young man and an outstanding athlete. His mental work and physical work in the off-season is what will set him apart from his competition moving forward.

We all expect big things from Brown in the near future!
