Colin Durning C/O 2027 Prince Ave Christian
When you talk about magical seasons for players, coaches and teams, one student-athlete who can speak about that is Colin Durning.
“This season went well as an individual. Got a lot of experience playing in some big games. Had around 60 tackles. Overall I feel like I had a great freshman year. Definitely learned a lot.” Says Durning.
Durning was able to be very impactful very early in this extremely successful season.
“As a team I feel like we really grew together over the spring and in the summer. We had a really special bond. It was great being around each other everyday. Just the overall camaraderie. I feel like we grew most when we lost to Mary Persons. The seniors really stepped up and set the tone for the rest of the year. We finished the year the right way. The seniors leaving their mark and setting the standard for us.” Durning said.
Standards have been set and the ones who are coming up like Durning, have learned to carry on all of that and gain their own experiences in order to be successful and to continue the success of the program.
“The goal is definitely just reload and repeat. My personal goals are definitely just get as fast and as strong as I can this offseason. Next year a goal for me is to get a starting job. Thats all I’m really focused on just being able to contribute to the team and everything else will take care of itself. The lord has a plan for me. I really just put all my trust in him.” Says Durning.
Expect Durning to have an early impact this next season and the seasons to come. With Durning allowing The Lord to guide his steps will only increase his great success. Durning is going to be a player to watch for.
