A Minor Setback For A Major Comeback

Some athletes have plans set out and then a set back interferes with it and plans have to be arranged in a different manner from time to time. However, it’s in my belief that it only helps you in the long run. Keeping the Faith in God and keeping your head straight while grinding it out is what’s going to set you apart from the “set back.” For Tyler Boyd of Carrollton, he’s been able to bounce back and he looks forward to a fresh start.
“My off-season started off kind of rough. I was injured while playing in the Under Amour 8th grade game in January. I had to rehab that injury until early April and that’s when i got cleared. Since then I have been training. I’ve been working on my breaks things like that just trying to be twitchy has possible as a DB.” Says Boyd.
“I expect myself to get better this season and learn from the older guys. As a team I expect us to go undefeated and when state this year.”
Carrollton is currently sitting at the number 1 spot in most rankings in the 6A classification. Boyd and his teammates expect nothing less than to win it all.
Boyd says he enjoys the game of football and he tells us what he enjoys most about it.
“The thing I enjoy the most about football is the grind. I just love the grind and being able to showcase my hard work on the field from me working so hard.”
“My individual goals for this season is being nominated as Freshman All American on different platforms and gaining more recognition.” Says Boyd.
