Let The Play Talk

One of the toughest positions on the gridiron is the defensive back position. The position requires so much technique and honestly desire to want to put the work in and play it. Patterson took his entire off-season to perfect his craft the best he could.

“My off-season was great I mostly worked on my technique as a DB. I’m able to showcase my off man and press as a safety.” Patterson said.

Having the big goals as an individual is important and of course you want to have team goals but someone would be lying if they said they didn’t have individual goals. Patterson has some really good individual goals that will only impact his teammates in a major way and not just benifit himself.

“Individually I expect to be a leader on the field both vocally and throughout my play. For the team, we got a lot of talent but we are a young team so are chemistry has to be developed.”

Patterson says, “As a safety, the hunger and drive to stop the offense. Also the thrill of competing with the quarterback and receivers.”

Being a saftey is a tough job. Being the best is even tougher but Patterson is bound and determine to make it happen to be the best of the best.

“My goal as a safety is to eventually be one of the top safetys in my class. I want to elevate my game with more interceptions, TFLs, tackles, and leadership on the field.” Patterson says.

Expect a big career from Patterson!
