Set To Make Impact

Aidan “AD” Rosemond 2028 CB/WR Carrollton

When you attend Carrollton high school, then you must demand excellence from your own self because that’s what Carrollton expects and their standard is very high and so are the coaches and players. For Aidan “AD” Rosemond it’s exactly that, high standards and hard work.

“My offseason has been amazing, I’ve improved on my defensive back technique and craft but the main thing that I’d say from my defensive back technique i improved on is my press coverage and practicing with varsity has really helped. Over the offseason I started training more at wide receiver also because I have the ability to play both ways so Im going to put that to use, I mainly worked on my route running, releases, and stems when running my routes.I also have been getting much stronger. But for this season I’m ready to showcase everything that I’ve been working on over this offseason and to prove to myself that I have the ability to play varsity even though I’m a freshman.” Says Rosemond.

Just as I said, Carrollton expects a lot and the players are built to do the same of themselves and their teammates.

“I expect myself to ball out this season, and whenever I’m able to get reps on varsity I have to make the best of it and just stay calm under the pressure because I’m a freshman and lots of people don’t believe in me. What I expect from my team is to go 1-0 every week, keep developing and continuing to get better as a whole, focusing on 1 week at a time, winning the state championship but that’s not the main goal, the main goal is to get better each day and just make sure you learned something throughout the season.”

Through a tough season, you must have love for the game in order to get up and grind daily, weekly and do it at a high level.

“I enjoy making bonds with my teammates,,coaches, and trainers. The whole football staff really. Also growing up as a kid all I knew was football and I love the pregame vibes, love letting it all out on the field with my brothers, being able to showcase my talents in front of lots of fans, and knowing that it’s bigger than me at the end of the day and I’m doing it for the ones that don’t have the same opportunities as me and the ones I love and care for.”

“I want o be better than I was yesterday, I could be making only 1% progress everyday but that’s just fine because like my coach says “you either growing or decaying” but ultimately the main goal is to stay on track with god, finding peace in myself, becoming an inspiration, and continue to do the things that I love.” Rosemond says.

Expect big things not only from Carrollton but from Rosemond as a young yet talented athlete.
