Buck Randall | Quarterback | Class 2027
It doesn’t take a long look at class of 2027 quarterback prospect Buck Randall to know he’s different.
The footwork, quick release and understanding of the game are all next level for the young Highland Park, Texas quarterback.
Randall has spent the summer attending former NFL quarterback Quincy Carter’s group workout sessions.
More importantly, though, Randall highlighted that he’s been building chemistry with his Highland Park Middle School teammates.
“I have been throwing consistently with my receivers all summer,” Randall said. “I have been focused on footwork and really using my lower body.”
Randall recently led his Nitro team to their fifth consecutive Texas Elite 7on7 championship.
“Our team is a group of guys who are committed, talented, and have incredible heart,” Randall said. “Most of us have grown up together and new additions have merged so well.
“Coach Don (Smith) is the best 7on7 coach there is by far and his track record has proven so. It’s been a privilege to play for him.”
Randall is so comfortable in Smith’s system that sometimes he’s even tasked with calling his own plays.
“I have been around the system for a long time and have a pretty good feel for what’s working in each game so calling plays feels natural for me,” Randall said.
With one year left until high school, Randall is eager to make the most of his middle school season.
“We are going to complete to win every game and have fun in the process,” Randall said.
