Hayes Maginnis is the next big thing | Class 2027

The 2027 class in Georgia is loaded with talent, and one of the top quarterbacks in the class not only in Georgia, but across the country, is gunslinger, Hayes Maginnis.

A winner on both the gridiron and on the baseball diamond, the 14-year old is a promising baseball prospect as he pitches and plays shortstop for the famous East Cobb Astros, one of the top travel baseball teams in the country.

At 5-foot-10 and 146-pounds, the 8th grader out of Newnan Middle School has natural arm talent and already knows how to accurately sling the ball down the field. A smart quarterback for the Falcons United program, Maginnis leads one of the top travel football teams in the country and has a promising future at Newnan High School down the road. He’s a natural who understands the game and knows how to play the position. He’s a determined, hard-worker who loves to compete and learn.

Maginnis has two older brothers who both played high-level sports, so he’s been around football and baseball his entire life. He has one of the strongest arms of anyone in his class and shows it as a quarterback and a pitcher. He has sky-high potential in both sports, but his toughness and fierce competitiveness make him an impressive young quarterback prospect. The arm talent is clearly there at a young age, and now all he needs to do is work on getting bigger and stronger while growing his already high football IQ. He’s a 2x B2C GA QB of the year winner and won the B2C Offensive POY twice as well. He’s accomplished a ton so far in his young football career, and has a chance to have an outstanding high school career down the road.

He’s one of the many talented 8th graders to know about, and he’s going to be a major football and baseball prospect sooner than later.
