“The off-season has been good I been trying to put in work when I have the time and when I can I have improved a lot at defensive end and I feel like my success will come from their from the advantage I have on offensive lineman with my speed, strength and wingspan.”

Playing on the line has high expectations for excellence. For Wofford, that’s what he expects for himself is high success from his high expectations.

“What I expect of myself I expect myself to perform every game and cause trouble to offenses and for my team if everyone plays their best and we succeed at what we’re best at I feel like we can be a top team coming in to this season if we all keep working hard and just have a better mindset and attitude then rest of the teams we play or see.”

“I enjoy playing football because my grandad has been a coach before I was born and still is and he encouraged me to play it and I just want to make my family proud and help my family out I enjoy it because I love the game and how it has developed throughout the years if existing and how I can legally hit people.”

Big goals are set for Wofford and his team moving forward. The program they have set at Rome is operated like a college program and it’s clear of the strong development of the defensive line at Rome and Wofford fits right in that mold.

“My goal as an individual by the end of this season I wanna move up to go play Friday nights and to be a top player in my division and as a team I want my team to go undefeated and be recognized as one of the best teams and for this spring I just want to put on more strength and I want to work on my defensive end moves and what to do at the right time and when not to do it and work on my speed more.” Says Wofford.
