Caleb Ivey – Winning Ways

When talking about versatility and being accomplished at a young age, you must bring up the name, Caleb Ivey who is a WR/DB out of Dutchtown, Class of 2028. This is a name you will hear for years to come.

We got the chance to speak with Caleb on how last season went for his team. “As a team we improved a lot and our chemistry got a lot better.” Ivey says.

When asking Caleb on what he felt about his individual performance last season, he felt as if it was his best year yet. Ivey goes on to say, “Individually my best year was last year. I won defensive back of the year. We went on to win the championship while I won MVP of the season.”

However, all of that success doesn’t halt Ivey’s will to improve as he feels like he can be even better due to the work he’s putting in this off-season.

Caleb believes with the off-season work being put in by him and his teammates, it can really set them over the top. Obviously, everyone has things to work on in the off-season, and chemistry is one concept that Caleb feels they can improve on this time around. Although a very good team, a good team is nothing without chemistry. That’s a goal of this Dutchtown team before this 2023 football season begins.

Ivey has really been hungry working on his versatile play being a wide receiver and defensive back. Playing on both sides of the ball requires training. Ivey has been going to training throughout the off-season and even played in Future Stars game. Can’t forget to mention yet another accomplishment, as Team Georgia FSG won it all in Savannah over Team Florida for the 7th grade group as they became the Future Stars Game Champs.

When asking Ivey on what he expects this season, he was straight to the point with high expectations. “Win our league championship, be highly ranked, win state and go on to Nationals.”

Lots of off-season training from the C/O 2028 WR/DB certainly looks to be showcased coming this season.

Individually Ivey would elect to be the best and be ranked in middle school ball. This shouldn’t come to a surprise for anyone who knows Caleb due to his confidence and work ethic.
