Putting the Skillset to the Test

Joshua Jones

Last season was a successful season for Jones as It was his last year of GFL football with Lawrenceville Black Knights. Jones ended up winning MVP Defensive Player awards about ever year of his time in GFL.

“Our goal at GHS Rams 9th grade was to play as one team and win as one team.  We pulled that off with an undefeated season. My individual plan was to continue to motivate and push myself to become a great player of football.  I consistently challenge myself to improve each time I hit that field.” Says Jones

In off season, Jones trained with local trainers to improve his speed and skills.  Jones also worked out to get stronger and improve on his explosiveness and power while working on his pass rush and recovery skills.

Exciting news came about for Jones as he was also invited to play in Dream All American Bowl in Indianapolis.

“As far as this season, we were able to complete our team goal.  I made big impacts on the field that contributed to our wins or touchdowns on the field.  My season highlights will show force fumbles, Sacks, Tackles for loss, Interception and hurries to QB disrupting plays.  Out of 80 Freshman, I was among the 40 at the end of our season brought up to Varsity.  I feel I met my goals for this season.  I feel you never stop challenging yourself to better.  I still have work to do.” Jones said.

You can assure that Jones is going to build on all of his accomplishments, and carry it forward in the years to come.
