Young Star In The Making

Cartersville had a good season last year; however, young stars on the rise like 2026 OL Langston Hogg will only help take them from a “good” season to a “great” season, and Cartersville knows all about “great” seasons. They made it to the final four of the playoffs last season, and Hogg secured a starting role before the end of the regular season.

Hogg took the offseason as an opportunity to improve himself by getting bigger, faster, and stronger. He had invitations to attend several college spring practices and games, and during the summer, he was also invited to attend many college camps. After Hogg received his offer from Oregon in February, interest from other colleges started to pick up significantly.

This season, Hogg made the move from Center to Left Tackle. Coach Mac has put together a really good offensive line at Cartersville, and the guys are trusting him.

“Our line is really working well together and playing as a unit. We are 6-0 now and just started region play. Region 7 in AAAAA is one of the strongest regions in Georgia. Every week we have to play some of the best teams in the state,” says Hogg.

As an individual, Hogg wants the best for himself and his teammates at the Ville in Cartersville, GA.

“The standard at Cartersville High School is to win the Region and the State Championship. Coach Foster reminds us that every day is an opportunity to get better. My goal is to constantly improve and be the best player I can be for my team,” Hogg said.

Expect big things to continue for Hogg this season.
