Julian Gerena C/O 2027 WR/DB Liberty County HS

Consistency is one of the most important things not only in sports but in life. For Julian Gerena it’s been great and consistent for his off-season.

“The off-season has been great and consistent honestly. I’ve really been working a lot on my fundamentals and perfecting the small details at defensive back which I wish to play the next level at.” Says Gerena

“Coming into my sophomores season I expect it to be a break out season for me to showcase my ability and talent on the field especially coming off an injury last season. For my team I expect it all after coming off a no playoff season.
Honestly the energy at practice has been great and I see big things coming for us this upcoming season.”

A lot of times you can just feel it when it’s a great off-season going into a season right around the corner. That’s certainly a good sign and teams and individuals can build on that.

“I fell in love with football at a young age and the thing that gets me the most is the competitiveness everybody battling out to come out on top and it shows who’s been putting in more work and who hasn’t.” Says Julian.

When you have a passion for something, it makes it that much easier to remain consistent at becoming more successful at your craft.

“My personal goals this season is to definitely be recognized and to be in contact with coaches and show them who I am. I also want to make all region DB this year as a sophomore. As for my Team our goal is to go on to have a winning season and go into the playoffs as we didn’t do last year and show the people that we’re not the same team as last year.”

Expect big things out of Gerena this season and don’t sleep on his team!
