Do It All Type Of Player

Rett Thomas C/O 2028

I think I developed as a WR & Returner. Plus, more importantly, as a teammate. My QB (Harrison Hickox, 28′) hit me on some deep balls, and I made some plays on some short ones. I scored TD’s as a WR, Kick Returner, DB (pick six), and rushing from the wildcat. Blocking is a must at WR, and it’s a priority for me to be a complete player.” Says Thomas.

Thomas has proved to me an exceptional player and continues to grind in order to improve even more. Thomas tends to take his off-seasons very serious.

“The off-season for me was good. I use my off-seasons to get stronger in the weight room and train for track. I am a jumper and a sprinter. So mainly, speed & explosion type work.” Says Thomas.

Thomas goes on to say, “The season as a team was good. I think we had to find our identity offensively. We got rolling mid-season and were put out in the semifinals of the playoffs. I Wish we would have gone further, but as a whole, the team improved throughout the season.”

You learn from your mistakes and try to do your best to improve on them so that you can capitalize on things at a more consistent rate the next season. That’s exactly what Thomas and his team plans to do.

“Next season, I’ll be moving up to high school. So, I want to come in and compete. I hope to get in the WR rotation on varsity and help our team win. We want to keep making deep runs in the playoffs and always aiming at a state championship at Appling County High School.” Thomas says.

Thomas will burst on to the scene as long as he keeps on working hard and producing on the gridiron like he has been proving thus far!
